FLEXSYS
Design of a FMS/FAS for SMEs

FlexSys is an Exploratory Collaborative Activity between the European Union and Latin America, funded by the European Commission - the ECLA initiative.

OBJECTIVES: Promote Research, Development and Evaluation of Methods for designing Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, with special focus on SMEs scenarios.

FlexSys involves the participation of two European and three Latin American research PARTNERS coordinated by the Uninova Institute.

  • Project duration: Apr 1993 - Jun 1996.

    • A number of important RESULTS proved the feasibility of this cooperative approach between the two continents.
