Influence of Organisational Models on the Development of Skills Obtained by Vocational Training

Objectives

The objective of this pilot-project is to analyse and to evaluate how organisational structures and forms of work organisation affect positively or negatively the development of skills qualification that workers/employees obtained during their vocational training. So, possible gaps between obtained skills and applied skills are identified. Actions to be taken in continuing vocational training and in improving work organisation and content will be also outcomes of this pilot-project.

The project aims are to demonstrate:

Methods

Application data collection instruments that will contribute to verify the levels of efforts and investments on training education within some type of work organization forms and the contrast between the learning organisation and the "unskilling" organisation.

We intend to apply a guide for observation of the cognitive work content to two types of population with vocational training and without vocational training.

This project will deal with two sectores: Metal and Electronic Industry.

There will bet moments of data collection and observation.

In parallel, there will be interviews in the vocational training centers involved on the project.
